Smoking ban may affect Bingo halls around the UK

Following the global tendency of smoking prohibition in public indoor places, the smoking ban is rapidly approaching bingo halls in the United Kingdom and it is expected that this measure will have a negative impact on them, therefore, original measures are being prepared to resist this effect.

Although the experts on the matter predict that there will be a drop in the number of people who visit bingo halls, the managers of these places will not resign themselves to just sitting down and wait, on the contrary, they have already announced some of the measures that they are going to take.

Some bingo halls are building up shelters outside so smokers can go out safely for a smoke without getting soaked on the rain and they will be protected in case of any other type of adverse weather. In addition, they have programmed the installation of TV systems on said shelters so bingo fans will not miss any of the plays. Gary Vernall from Mecca Bingo said “we are building up shelters outside our two bingo halls and putting up plasma screens in them”.

This measure will come into force on July 1st this year. Meanwhile, other bingo halls in the United Kingdom are planning more measures to ensure that their faithful clients keep coming and enjoying the game.
