“The win is lovely", says an English grandma after hitting the bingo jackpot and taking home a total prize of 20,000 euros this week. Although her name was not revealed, the authorities of the bingo club said that she is a 73-year-old pensioner from the city of Kettering, England.

Luck struck this woman by surprise at her local bingo hall, the Gala Club in Kettering. She declared: "I was so embarrassed when I was told I had won as everybody was looking at me," she said, “however, the win is lovely."

The lucky winner explained that this prize couldn’t come in a better moment to her, since she is recovering from knee surgery she had in April and was feeling a little down because she was advised to rest and avoid physical activity for a while. She was a very active woman and attended regularly to a line dancing group and a yoga class prior to the surgery.

The winner is planning to take a holiday in Greece with her sister with the money she won, get a nice present for her granddaughter and invest the rest of it.
